Remote ScreenShare Module

USMON ScreenShare – If you have professional oversight and are employing a commercial real-time screen streaming program (such as GoToAssist, LogMein, iLinc, GoToMeeting, TeamViewer, VNC, etc.), then you know how frustrating a weak internet connection with frequent disconnects or simply not being able to connect at all. All of these programs work very well under the right conditions. There is no question― streaming video is the best way to view a remote screen in real-time. However, when the internet signals are too weak or intermittent, screen streaming programs can be frustrating for the Technologist, the Reader, and even the Surgeon who's asking for a response status. Streaming screen sharing requires a continuous strong internet connection.

USMON ScreenShare is a good alternative approach during these situations. As a module of USMON CHAT, which is incredibly stable with even a minimal internet connection, the Reader can, at the push of a button, have continuously updated screen shots of the Technologist’s screen delivered to his screen on an average of every 2-6 seconds (speed is depended upon how strong or weak the internet signals actually are.) If a complete disconnect happens, then USMON ScreenShare will automatically reconnect as often as needed without any assistance by the Technologist or the Reader. USMON ScreenShare is NOT intended to replace an existing streaming screen sharing program as it is not real-time. However, with screen shots being updated every 2-6 seconds, it delivers the IONM data to the Reader during those cases when no streaming connection is possible due to poor internet signals.

IONM is mission critical work and having alternative backup strategies are imperative to effective monitoring. USMON is designed and built specifically for the IONM world.
