USMON Chat Module
The documentation of live chats between Technician and Reader is of the utmost importance in the IONM industry. It is the best way to prove that professional oversight was present. USMON Chat is the only chat designed specifically for IONM, and automatically records every line of chat with the patient's ID in real-time. A professional, time-stamped Chat PDF Report is automatically generated when the Technician signs-off on the Tech Report. The Chat Report then becomes part the patient’s record stored in the database and is not editable by anyone. In a court of law, should it ever be needed, it provides you with solid documentation of the communication that transpired between Technician and Reader throughout the surgical timeline.
USMON Chat has many features, such as “Reader Alert”. If the Technician sends an IM to the Reader and the Reader does not respond within 5 minutes, a text message will automatically be sent to the Reader’s cell phone notifying him that the Technician is waiting for a response. USMON Chat has audible and visual alerts that will always notify the Technologist and Reader of any incoming chat. If an Internet disconnection occurs, USMON Chat picks up right where it left off upon reconnection because all lines of chat are automatically recorded to the server in real-time.
USMON Chat is a stand-alone application and can be used with or without the USMON Pro2 Database online. The chat uses a highly secured 256 bit data encryption and is mindful of HIPAA requirements. With thousands of chat lines recorded to date, USMON Chat has proven to be hospital router friendly.
