ScreenArchiver Module

USMON ScreenArchiver is truly a unique and original feature only available on USMON Pro²! ScreenArchiver is a special module built as part of the USMON CHAT module that will take a high resolution snapshot of the ongoing IONM data screen every minute automatically. Just as every line of chat is stored in real-time to the patient’s folder on our server, so is the snapshot of the Technologist’s screen from the ScreenArchiver. Each snapshot is time-stamped and stored with the patient ID.

In addition to the snapshots automatically taken by the ScreenArchiver, both the Reader and the Technologist can take snapshots any time during the case. When they snap a picture, a small viewer appears and the user can enter a comment and/or mark the snapshot as an alert. When the case is done, both the Reader and the Technologist have the ability to quickly and easily review all or any of the saved screen shots.

This provides several valuable services that were not easily available before:

1. An automatic pictorial history of the actual case. Live video recordings would be the best but archiving video is simply too difficult to store and too difficult to play back. USMON ScreenArchiver fills this void.
2. The ability for the Technologist to take high resolution screen shots at will and to have the ability to notate these shots with comments and/or an Alert button makes them searchable within that patient’s record for easy retrieval.
3. The ability for the Reader to take high resolution screenshots independent of the Technologist has simply never been possible in the past. Like the Technologist, the Reader can notate the snapshots with comments and/or an Alert button to make them searchable within the patient’s record for easy retrieval.

Technologists, Readers and IONM company owners have all lost medical legal cases because they were unable to provide sufficient documentation of what was watched during the procedure. It is not uncommon to walk into a court room with only a handful of screen shots, making it difficult to defend your actions during the surgery, particularly years afterward.
